The LLA launch followed the national opening ceremony held on Wednesday at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Ministerial Complex under the theme: “Unite to End Violence: Protecting All Women and Children in Our Communities and Digital Space.” Aligning with the national focus, the LLA introduced its sectoral theme: “Promoting Women’s Land Rights to End Gender-Based Violence.”
To ensure a smooth transition, the public is advised to take note of the following:
- Beginning January 1, 2026, all deeds must be prepared using the new LLA-approved deed form/template. No deed prepared on any form other than the standard form after January 1, 2026, will be accepted for registration at the LLA headquarters or any county land office.
- Deeds prepared on the old deed form/template before January 1, 2026, will continue to be accepted for registration until January 31, 2026. After this date, no deed prepared on the old deed form will be registered anywhere within the Liberia Land Authority system.
- All deeds prepared using the new deed form/template must be verified and approved by the LLA before being taken to the Probate Court for probation. Any deed submitted to the court without LLA verification will not be registered by the LLA.
This announcement is particularly directed to Registrars, Licensed Surveyors, Judges of Probate Courts in all 15 counties, Individuals, communities, and institutions involved in land transactions nationwide.
