The high-level engagement provided an opportunity for both leaders to exchange ideas on land governance, institutional reforms, and cross-border collaboration in the area of land administration. Discussions centered around best practices, regional cooperation, and the implementation of inclusive land policies that benefit communities across West Africa.
As part of his visit, Chairman Kpakio also held a private one-on-one meeting with Dr. Solange Bandiaky-Badji, President of the Rights and Resources Group (RRG) and Coordinator of the Rights and Resources Initiative (RRI). RRI is a prominent international coalition that supports land and forest tenure reform, with offices in Washington, D.C., USA, and Dakar, Senegal.
Dr. Bandiaky-Badji and Chairman Kpakio discussed the current state of land reform in Africa, with particular attention to community land rights, women's land access, and the role of international partners in supporting Liberia reforms.
